Uzodinma Iweala's book 'Beasts of No Nation' movie adaptation premiere's in Hollywood

Beasts of No Nation movie,  an adaptation of Uzodinma Iweala’s 2005 novel premiered in Hollywood yesterday October 13th.

The movie is about a young West African boy name Agu who is forced to join a unit of mercenary fighters when civil war tears his family apart. Abraham Attah play the role of the young boy while, Idris Elba  plays an African warlord known as the Commandant, who attempts to transform Agu into a ruthless killer.

The movie will be released on streaming and in theaters from the 16th October, 2015.

The premiere was attended by Uzodinma and his parents former finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Dr. Ikemba Iweal.
