Africano Interpretations: A Visual Arts-Music Synergy Movement Initiative

 AFRICANO INTERPRETATIONS

Terra Kulture Art Gallery is pleased to announce the AFRICANO INTERPRETATIONS (AI) Series which is a unique creative visual arts-music synergy movement aimed at exhibiting creative, visual artist(s)’ insightful exploration into profound music compositions.

As a unique African art movement synergy for the rest of the creative world to explore, AI further seeks to provoke addressing inadequate research and documentation on indigenous, creative audio and visual styles/forms of culturally rich countries like Nigeria. Exhibited expressions reveal deep contemplation’s conveyed in an impulsive entertaining style, with messages from the most seemingly trivial to extremely serious, mind-engaging themes.

A collaborative initiative of Segun Aiyesan, a self-trained artiste (despite earning an electronic/electrical engineering degree) and SMILEs – a creative arts consultancy outfit, in conjunction with Terra Kulture, Lagos; Lagbaja’s Africano music form is judged apt to both tag and trigger the unmasking of this newly defined artistic synergy between creative music and visual artistes, looking to arrest attention across all classes, races and ages; beginning from Nigeria, indeed prospectively the world over.

Opening Date: 3rd Otober 2015
Time: 4pm
Runs till: 11th October 2015 (9am – 9pm daily) at Terra Kulture, 1376 Tiamiyu Savage, Victoria Island, Lagos.
